The St. Vincent de Paul ministry seeks to be the hands and feet of Christ by visiting and providing support to the poor in our community. This ministry is an expansion of our HELP Committee, which already includes the Shepherd’s Gate Food Pantry and the Thanksgiving & Christmas deliveries, and focuses on providing emergency financial aid to those outside of our parish who have no where else to turn.
Believing we are all created in God’s image, we offer assistance with empathy, trust and friendship, while preserving the utmost dignity and confidentiality. By visiting the homes of those in need, we strive not only help address their material needs, but we are energized by the awareness that service to our brother or sister in need is in fact an encounter with our Lord Jesus Christ.
