Family Promise Outreach Ministry

The focus of the Family Promise Outreach Ministry is to show Christ’s love for the homeless children and their families in our community who are in crisis.  Partnering with Family Promise of Hamilton County, we provide housing and other basic needs to homeless families in need of support and Christ’s love.

ABOUT FAMILY PROMISE OUTREACH MINISTRY

The focus of the Family Promise Outreach Ministry is to show Christ’s love for the homeless children and their families in our community who are in crisis.  It is an expansion of our HELP Committee efforts to serve those in financial need. We use our Youth Room (church basement) to house one to four homeless families for one week every three months.  Families are background checked and screened prior to being accepted into the program. We partner with Family Promise of Hamilton County to provide guests with their basic needs:  food, transportation, a warm place to sleep, tutoring for the children, and most importantly, Christ’s love for them.   Key aspects of the ministry:

  • Includes opportunities for your whole family
  • NO monthly meetings
  • NO commitments required until immediately prior to our host week each quarter.
  • Orientation online training sessions are available for those interested in learning more and obtaining the necessary information to become a volunteer.
  • Our largest need is for HANDS-ON volunteers to work with our guests, but there are also behind-the-scenes roles that provide important supportive type needs.
