The St.Vincent de Paul ministry consists of men and women who strive to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to individuals in our local community who are need of emergency financial assistance. We know that we are not alone. We are part of an international society of friends united by a spirit of poverty, humility, and sharing, which is nourished by prayer and reflection, mutually supportive gatherings, and adherence to a basic Rule.
The St. Vincent de Paul ministry seeks to be the hands and feet of Christ by visiting and providing support to the poor in our community. This ministry is a part of our HELP Committee, which also includes the Shepherd’s Gate Food Pantry and the Thanksgiving & Christmas deliveries, and focuses on providing emergency financial aid to those outside of our parish who have no where else to turn.
Believing we are all created in God’s image, we offer assistance with empathy, trust and friendship, while preserving the utmost dignity and confidentiality. By visiting the homes of those in need, we strive not only help address their material needs, but we are energized by the awareness that service to our brother or sister in need is in fact an encounter with our Lord Jesus Christ.
If you are a St. Maria Goretti parishioner in need of assistance, please contact the Parish Office directly.
This ministry serves only those who are not parishioners of St. Maria Goretti and who live either within the Washington Township, Noblesville Township, Jackson Township, Adams Township, Delaware Township, or Clay Township. At this time, we receive ALL client referrals directly from the Township Trustees. If you are in need of emergency financial assistance, or know someone who is, please direct them to their Township Trustee office at:
