This scholarship is intended for Saint Maria Goretti parishioners who are graduating from a public high school and are entering their first year in a college/university. The scholarship is intended to be awarded to a Canonically Confirmed parishioner(s) of SMG who has (have) demonstrated active participation in SMG, both in mass attendance and in SMG service activities and/or groups. Additional criteria include scholarly excellence, community/philanthropic service, and continued faith through high school years. This is a one-time scholarship for graduating high school students entering college. Recipients are not allowed to reapply.
PRE is for children age 2 years old through 8th grade. Here you will find a welcoming place for your child(ren) to learn about their faith, grow in spirituality and prayer, and participate in service while developing lasting friendships. PRE has the option of two different time blocks Sunday mornings.
Fun, faith-filled experiences and activities (games, songs, crafts, stories, snack) in a casual youth group environment for 3rd/4th graders.
This monthly youth group will be an opportunity for 5th and 6th graders in both the School and PRE to connect with each other, build faith-filled friendships, and discuss how they can apply their faith in their lives.
Exploring our amazing faith with games, engaging talks, and discussions, while we learn to love Jesus together! Snacks and fun are provided. HOPE meets on Wednesdays from 7-8:30 p.m. and is for 7th and 8th grade boys and girls.
Inspires girls to grow in faith, emphasizing how a girl’s identity is rooted in Christ as God’s chosen, beloved daughter.
These girls only group meetings consist of prayer, faith sharing, learning, service, fellowship, and more. Meetings are meant to serve those in attendance, and are low pressure commitment.
Learn how to answer when asked questions like “Have you been saved?” Develop and strengthen your personal relationship with Jesus. Bring your questions, sense of humor, and especially your friends!
This fraternity encourages teen boys to stay active in their faith as they grow toward manhood and discern their vocations as married, consecrated, or ordained men.
This group consists of faith, fellowship and fun! TRUTH meets every other Sunday down in the Youth Room.
This is an option for the first year faith formation prereq, whether freshman or older, leading into Confirmation. FAITH allows teens to dig deep into the Faith, but most importantly, how to have a personal relationship with Jesus.
Let’s be real - what is your plan for applying to college? Not to scare you but most college applications for a Fall 2025 start will have an admissions deadline of December 1st or earlier.
How do you create a plan when you have multiple schools, application systems and deadlines to keep track of? Do you know the different types of application deadlines and what they mean in relation to when you would learn your admissions decision?
R.O.C.K. (Reaching Out to College Kids) is the program that pairs up adult volunteer parishioners at SMG with our own SMG college students. The adult keeps in touch with the student via letters, notes, and/or e-mail.
Simple things like sending a bulletin once in a while or letting the student know you are praying for them, especially during mid-terms or finals, can let a college student know that someone here at SMG besides their own immediate family has an interest and is praying for them. And of course, all college students love the occasional
